  • How far to go with SAB 331

My Raptor is fitted with a set of 600mm SAB 331 carbon/glass fibre blades. The information supplied with them says they are not suitable for 3D. I am still in the learning phase but I am now comfortable with high loaded turns, stall turns and on the cusp of attempting loops and rolls. Im still not doing any high opposite pitch manouveres as yet.

How far can I go with these blades without entering into the not suitable territory???

I think there's a clear difference between sports flying (Big sky loops, rolls, stall turns) and 3D (Massive pitch reversals, snaps etc).

I think that as they've not ruled out sports flying then you should be absolutely fine, the usual caveats apply of course and it'd be worth a precursory email to SAB to double check.

Thanks for that, I was fairly sure that I would be ok, but its better to check than get it wrong.
