  • Symetrical or Semi

I have been looking into this subject as I am looking to move on from woodies.
Always the general advice is that semi symetrical blades are ok but get symetrical ones because you can fly inverted.
So lets say I have no interest in flying inverted at the momentand I just want to do FFF, loops, rolls, auto's etc.
So what are the pros and cons of each blade type in these circumstances?
    Thanks

I'm no expert (sure Ade will be along soon enough )

But if you only intend on doing some loops rolls FFF etc then the Semi syms would offer more efficiency in lift the right way up and maybe slightly better duration.

But from what I have seen in shops you'd probably be better off with Fully Symetrical as they seem to be more popular and easier to get hold of.

unless you have limited power, overloaded the heli or limited duration then there really is no need for Semis.

Some of the semis are cheaper than fully symetrical but they are also made of lower quality components so dont fly as nicely.

get one of the well known brands such as MAH, SAB, MS composite. NHP, Vs and you will be very happy.
