Edge b surface

Hi everyone, i having been looking to try a new set of blades for my e700 and i just seen these in fast-lad

EDGE 693mm B-Surface CF Blades - Flybarless Version - LE-693FBL
EDGE 115mm SE B-Surface CF Tail Rotor Blades LE-115SE

Has any one tried b surface edge blades out? Its says that its only a cosmetic difference and the performance is just a good is this true?

hi mate ive used the align blades before all it means is theres a slight smuge in the pain or a few tiny bubbles in the laquor 9 times out or 10 its not even noticable close up let alone from a distance.

if u need blades u be silly not to buy them its a perfectly good blade for cheep

They fly exactly the same, most of the time the blemishes are so small it's silly. Buy with confidence they are the real deal just have 'b surface' stamped on the underside

I use them all the time, never had a problem yet, the only difference are the tiny cosmetic blemishes on "B" surface versions. Makes no difference to how the model flies!

Thanks guys, i think ill buy them. just one last question, i have never flown edge blades before so i am not sure what they are like but do they fly good in big 3d fast flying style? i know that they are great for smack flight, but i don't see them much in big air flying styles.

if memory serve me right the se blades are light so very agile/twitchy if u want f3c then a heavier longer blade will help best of both i fly rails but there a lot more than the b serface price if i didnt have spare rails id probly buy loads of them edge for the price but prefere the non se as im no 3d god more of a fly it like i stole it

Has anyone noticed that FL seems to have New stock of Edge Blades,
Seems like since the Switch blades have been released, New Edge blades are turning up!
Are they still making them then, or maybe Switch blades in the wrong scheme!? :-)

Yea i seen they have lots of new edge blades in stock, i thought they stop making them long ago. I also think that the switch blades are edge or something like that.

I was told in a shop in may that the new align blades are the old edge moulds,which would explain why they are a massive improvement to the old 3g's.
As for b surface edge blades, I will never use them again after a set de-laminated on me last week sending my brand spanking new 1 gallon old Gaui NX7 down for a rough landing :-( I'm looking at the least £450 damage because I saved a few quid on the blades.
I'm probably 1 out of 100 to have the bad luck but I'm sticking to spin blades now.

I think Rail and Cyclone give/sell their blemished blades to their sponsored pilots.

I saw a set of Cyclone B-surface on Trevor from Midland's Mostro last year as it was being abused at North Notts.

Edge Blades was bought by Bert Kammerer, and rebranded Switch Blades.
Switch Blades are being made by the same manufacturer FunKey.

Until Switch Blades were anounced Edge Blades seemed to be all but gone, now that Switch Blades are in production some Edge Blades seem to be available again!
Maybe the sale allowed some old stock to be released, or maybe they are still making batches with the Edge livery on.

Just a bit of an update on this, i did not end up getting the main blades as was kinda unsure. But i did get the 115 tail blades and they are coming today, so i will let you know how i get on with them.

why unsure ? Like I said they are just cosmetically flawed nothing to do with how they fly and trust me edge were and still are the favoured blade of many

I just was not sure if i would like how they would fly, as they seem like a very smack blade. Which is not really how i like to fly, but when i get home and see the tails blades and if i am really happy with them then i will give them a go as they are a good price.
