Hi guys not going to do this as build thread as gasserheli.com as a good build write up, just thought id share what I found while building, maverick is from gasserheli.com you can buy the kit of dxf files, so I got the files and cut everthing my self on my cnc and laser cutter, now I cut some plates in aluminium but waight is not a worry for me as this will be going in a scale body,
first what I found the upgrades, lynx thrust bearings they had no frame tabs like the align ones, and think just 2 bolts with a Zenoah could wear the frame, so used align aluminium bearing holder.
second was the garrt metal tail boom gearbox, again no profile to match the drive housing, so it could go forward and back just moving by hand, so used align,
2 battery trays can be used, so cut my own out of aluminium, but as you will see in photos battery and electronics are at back as with stock muffler and filter left on it is very front heavy, so will be cutting trays for the back,
if I cut this again I would move throttle servo down, as with an extension on arm the link is at a steep angle,
I got the 3 bladed head as its going in scale body, but the shaft on these as 2 jesus bolts so using the shaft you have to put a shaft locking ring as its 10mm short before top bearing mount,
all of the bits bought are new, as some are trex 550 600 700, overall this was an easy build and still need to tune the 3x, photos show my cnc and laser cutting the frames, a Zenoah 270 as ive had good results with this size before, and some of the parts cut, and big thank you to my friend Sheryl for the pipe, thanks guys kev
