Well, you have to take that sales copy with a grain of salt. It is a heavy bird for 3D. But it is an otherwise quite expensive kit.

Yes it can do 3D just not with the same Punch/Speed as a nitro bird
But there is no manouver that it cant do

Yeah I think the weight is the biggest factor. You can get as much power out of the 26cc zenoah as you want with a bit of tuning.

My Predator weighs about 6 kilos and I'm sure it would be a whole different bird if it was a couple kg lighter. But I'm not trying to do 3D anyway (but carrying the beast around it would be good if it could shed a few pounds).

It has been a while since I've flown mine because to be honest it took me a while to get a bit more confident, so I went back to the smaller nitros where I wasn't so nervous about crashing.

Now, I feel more ready and I am anxious to get the Predator out again.

Anyway, I never flew it anywhere near the whole tank. I'd set my timer for 10 minutes and it still had lots of fuel left. You cannot see the tank very well in flight because it is under the canopy so I was nervous about that as well.

Next time out I'll be more scientific about it and find out how long it really runs on a tank and then I can set the timer accordingly after that.

I'm guessing it will be in the area of a bit over 20 minutes, maybe more the way I fly

I need to replace a couple really small double links on the head and at the very least I'll start it up soon just to shake the dust off. I have neglected it a bit as I spent more time with the Robbe's and the Ely.Q.

When I got mine A few years ago one of the first things I did was see how long it ran
I gave up after 38 mins and there was still 5mm of Petrol in it
That was only doing a few loops and rolls,climb outs and low fast Passes while i was getting a feel for it
Now when I fly it i usually fly it like a nitro 10-15 mins at a time but only refuell it when it gets below a 1/4 tank

I miss my predator gasser.....

it was big and stable and was stunning machine until they crash....
