  • Gyro for predator

    I have just bought a predator and the tail is a bit twichy I am thinking of upgrading the gyro to a gy611 ,Any one ever used one on a gasser ?
    and how easy are they to set up ?

      Futaba 611 gyro is fine my had a Futaba gyro 601 in it

      futaba 401 gyro would be fine as well

        there are better gyros available nowadays than that for less money if your buying a new gyro. have a dig about at what takes your fancy.

            Have just taken delivery of a 611 but no servo ,in the manual it says only use the futaba s9256 ,will the gyro not work with other servos ?
            ( Hi Mike the spartan I was getting will be a week or two till i get my hands on it so I thought about the 611 instead ,p,s hows the camera ? )

              There is a way to set it up to use other servo's, not sure how to do it though. PM Raptorheli2, im sure he has done it & will be able to tell you how to change over.

                BLS251 works with it too but thats expensive.!

                camera is daves so not sure on its condition...

                  you can change the servo if you go into the secret menu. HOWEVER, that would mean your using a 9254 and tbh i'd rather use an s148 than that. yet another one failed at my club on sunday there on a 401. i've personally lost 3 of them in 2 years and one of our senior members has lost atleast the same in same time. so thats 7 i know of in 1 club in 2 years.

                  buy the bls251 is the best advice.

                    Yeh !! your right I have just ordered one today ,Its a big heli and I dont want problems for the sake of £120
