if you like the 770 that would certainly work fine coupled to an 8900g.

Gasser's the engines don't tend to fail they just run a bit rough and the Auto hang time at the bottom everyone says its nuts for the size of the machine.

But yes you crash it and ouch

If your worried about spare prices fly the 600n when you can do circuits then fly the predator and notice how smooth she flys

I need to get my LHS to check it out but are they still making the Predator, Century UK shows out of stock and some shops are showing as no more orders being taken?
Anyone know the answer to that before Monday?

That about sums it up. I had one for a short while, while I was still pretty new to heli's, and brought it down hard. I picked up the pieces and couldn't believe the damage, even the exhuast was ripped away from the engine. I think it was the most upsetting crash I've had, and definately the most expensive.

On a positive note though, they are very stable (just don't crash it)

O.k so having plucked up the courage to broach the subject with the wife I'm looking at getting the Predator Carbon SE NX.
Will I be better off with a Futaba GY601(?) or stay with the JR 770/8900 combo. Also any recommendations on which main blades would be best, presumably something carbon as I guess they need to be pretty stiff.
Any other info people can impart would be appreciated, other than they're damn expensive to repair, think I've got that bit now as so far everyone has said so, doh!
