have you guys got the standard version or the 's' version ?

i've read that the 's' version has problems binding with just sats fitted ?

just standard version for me but i've just read today that the S version supports quads and planes as well so i might get one to try on a plane

Had a bit of a weird one last night with mine. Went through the normal power up procedure and let the zyx initialise then went to fly. Well when it got light on the skids is pirouetted like it was on drugs. Managed to get it back on the deck with no damage. I power cycled the model and tentatively tried again and this time is was fine.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour. I am also running the latest firmware.

The one on my 450 fails to initialise about 1 in 4 times which is a lot really and that's what happened with yours.

I understand the latest firmware which I think is 3.5, is supposed to reduce this to about 1 in 20! Guess your flight last night was the one in 20!

It isn't really a problem, just an irritation. Every time you power up pick up the heli and make sure the swash moves about as it should - which is something you should do with all FBL systems.

My ZYX "forgot" the tail settings last week. I did the usual stick waggle and all appeared to be doing what it should!! Now bear in mind, I had only ever completed 4 or 5 circuits, without crashing!! The wind was averaging 25MPH and gusting up to 30ish, but Rick had taken his Gaui 550 up in that, without obvious problems, so my "little" stretched 425FBL should be fine.Took off, got it to 30odd feet and above the tree line, where all the wind was, when the tail was blown left , no worries, I'll just turn the nose left again....... WRONG, no left rudder!!!!!
I did manage to get it landed (softly) and side in, but would rather it didn't happen again!!!!
Got it home, connected to the PC, reset tail limits etc, and all is well, once again, PHEW!!!
Other than that problemette, I am really happy with the ZYX, considering it's price tag!! Just bought another to convert my Gaui 550 to FBL.
