    Hi

Need some help please guys, set up the above heli and maidend a coule of hours ago, all's well apart from a bad tail wag, which can become that bad that the heli shakes at times.

Tx is a DX8, i adjusted the gyro setting to get it to smooth out a little of the wag and is currently at 59.5%

Is it the gain in the advanced menu i need to reduce to correct this? and what value would you recommend me to start at if it is?

    cheers for any info.

I have one.... but its not yet found its way on to a heli... but when it does i will let you know how it gets set up....

But i can add.. My flasher 450 has curretnly got a skookum on it and i changed the tail servo from the standard one to a Ds95i and that introduced significant tail wag where at first there was nearly non just a silighly slack tail...

So the tail gain is directly proportional to the speed of the servo which you have left undefined therefore the question has no finite answer.

are you using a USB dongle to set the gyro up? if so, it's the total tail gain you need to lower down.
using JohnNZ's software... or i'm sure even tarot's own software will be fine for now

Are there any good guides on setting these things up. I'm a noob with the fbl stuff and would find it useful

Cheers guys, i have turned the total gain down from 70 to 58, and will give that a try. (using USB dongale and John NZ'S software.

It does seem to be responding better checking it manally, but that probably bares no resemblence to normal flight

The servo thats fitted is a Ino -Lab HG-D261HB

check the gain on your transmitter as well and lower that.

i need to work on my tail too as it's overshooting when i stop. something to do with either the acceleration or deceleration settings but i can't remember which.

I had dropped the gain on the tx down to 56% on my DX8, and it helped slightly, if i went any higher or lower at the time, things got pretty shakey!

I am more used to the AR7200BX, but this system seems pretty good for the money, just a bit more dialing in to get it right. only issue has been the tail, but i think thats more my fault still learning FBl set up etc, and having been away for the hobby for 6 yrs.(and then only flew a Raptor 30)

Quick update, tail wag gone now that i have dropped the gain in the ZYX main screen, Only slight issue is on rudder inputs the stop at each turn of direction is pretty sharp i think is the best way to describe it. But certainly flyable now.

                      Cheers all for the help!
