Tarot ZYX USB settings question

Dear all,
Apologies for another question.
For those with the above FBL unit and using the USB cable to set your parameters, do I really need to go thru the first page (using JohnNZ software: fbl.net.nz) of centering my trims and full throws using subtrims on my tx?

The reason I'm asking is because 0 trim on my tx is not 0 trim on the unit. So do i follow the unit and adjust accordingly or ignore it and rely on my transmitter's center trim and full throws?
I read a post somewhere (might be rcgroups) saying he's ignored that page because it's given him endless troubles.

I would and also I would use the Tarot software which is at version 2.5 (firmware update also) the last time I looked

thanks. i just wondered coz the first time i set my heli up using the trims on the software, i had this very bad shake at liftoff and i had to reduce my cyclic gain from 40 to 25.

and yeah - i'll do the firmware update tonight.
is the tarot's 2.5 software better then?

I had this too, and it was down to using the recommended servo ball positions, I had to move my balls in to reduce the throw

The ZYX firmware upgrade release notes:
Gyro failure. Initialize the remote control signal detection, and to avoid remote control signal initialization error caused by
(2) Fixed mechanical mixing tilt plate mode, the remote control to fine-tune the allocation error signal.
1.Add the RC signal verifying when initialization, prevent ZYX from fault caused by error of initialization.
2.Fix the assignment issue of RC trim signal when the swashplate type was selected as mechanical mixer.

servo ball position? interesting. i'll look into it tonight. i'm still waiting for a calm day to retest.
