Shookum 540 any good on a nitro...

I want a new FBL gyro it will go on either a 600 or a G4 I dont think it will go on a 700 due too its size...anyone had a go of a 540 on a nitro and are they ok with the vibes and stuff.....Thanks....

ya man, had one on my g4 for abit before it was released, flys superbly, id still hav it on if i didnt hav a vbar already

Its a great bit of kit easy to setup. Great gov and fine with vibes. Had one on a velo 50 and it was the nuts.

The 540 is hard to beat! Have the 720 in my Goblin and a 540 in my Trex 700 N both fly really well and so easy to setup. Just got another SK540 for a new project

I got a V Bar silver line in the end makes it easier having all 3 helis the with the same gyro...shame as I did fancy a shookum.....

Just to update you John, mate of mine at TTi fitted a 540 to his 600 trex nitro and I got to test fly it on Saturday.

Have to say really quite good initial thoughts. he had never setup a flybarless unit like this only having in the past 3GX he set it all up as per instructions, was spooling it up with me standing next to him, then he decided to spool down and pass me the Tx.

it went straight up into a nice hover no drift or wag, so took it around for a few circuits to see if there was any problems, which there weren't some fast passes and no oscillations then I gave it a bit of a workout and it it took it all very nicely, tail held firmly in backward stuff. no wobbles throughout the flight.

I really liked it, and its a smart looking piece of kit, similar look to the Cosmic in its red metal case. obviously not being my heli I didnt push too hard plus I would have the settings a little more lively he had the preset on sports flyer I think. but it was definitely solid in the air and its gonna give him lots of confidence going forward.

Still wish I had got one...mind you my 600 with the silver line does feel a lot better and the TT56 pipe is working very well with the OS 55...the sliders are all a bit low or high on the set up though.....
