SKOOKUM SK720 help please

Have an Atom 500 electric and am trying to maiden her.
Problem is cant get it to spool up - it will spool up at high throttle but when I reverse the throttle in the hand set it does not make any difference.
I am not using the govener on the 720 or the esc hand set is 18MZ

Can anyone please help

Have you re-calibrated the ESC after reversing the throttle?

Also a great idea to remove blades/pinion while sorting this out

now sorted, had the pitch and throttle channels the wrong way round.

I did the same bloody thing with my 14mz, took me ages to work it out too.

Maidened it today but the bailout is slow and thats with it turned up to 100%.
Hoping if I raise the gains and increase the eileron throws it will be quicker.

Its all about the control rates! Guessing you left them std? @ around 240. Set them higher for faster rolls / flips. Just keep a eye on bell gains after checking the box for self tune. If after a few flights they shoot up to over 9o the control rates are too high.

You can however set the control rates at say 300 + for the bank your using for bailout if your not flying in SL.
