Just thought i would post an update as i feel that when a company does respond in a positive way it should posted as well as if they don't. The guys at Skookum have shipped another unit and have asked me to return the lost item if it does turn up. They have not asked me to pay any more for this. They have placed their trust in a customer to return the item, this i will do, or purchase it if i wish to keep it.
Well done Skookum, it took a couple of emails and patience with the time difference but they got there and have another happy customer.... as long as the postal service don't mess it up! Bottom line is, you will not go far wrong with your choice of FBL controller on this experience.

Yeah they aren't always the fastest to reply, but they are a stand up company and will see you right in the end.

I have my V50 ona skook with an R6203 and 12FG and gov you just plug in a sensor...... It will show you vibrations and they have all got to be cured for it to work at its best... That can be a challenge...

Hi thanks steve can you help me here the skookum video says it will not work with a traditonal rx set up SK 720 Governor Setup Walkthrough - YouTube (around 35 seconds) i will be using the futaba 10c tx and the sbus rx and prob the ely q regulator thanks in advance for your help rodney

Yes i have my Sk, it is set up on my trex600, I have not yet had a chance to get it in the air. I fly at Keevil when i can or locally in a field.

Was there this morning putting my 6hv through its paces after a rebuild. Bit windy but went well.

I've got skookums in 3 helis at the moment so if you need a hand with it just shout!! I'm @ Keevil most weekends if the weathers o.k..

You will need a R6203SB and a converter for the skookum (SK-SB1) its what i use on the 12FG..

You also might need to power the R6203s with a servo extension with the signal wire removed from a spare powerbus port or sk port if not using a powerbus.

I had to do this as the skookum doesn't put out enough juice from the sat port. Just kept getting green/red flashing led on the rx.

I hope to make time to get there more this year, i am still learning and not too keen on freezing my bits off, as soon as the weather improves i aim get many more hours on the sticks.

I ssetup the SK with my dx8, all seemed to be going well till i tried to change a setting, I got the error message saying failed to initialise please contact support when i connected the pc cable. I have tried re installing the software etc. The boxes stay yellow where the gyro read outs should be I have tried to format the card and i get the same error message. I have re done everything but no luck. Without the pc connected the red led stays on and the servos just float about.This unit has not left the ground, it got lost in the post and now does not seem to work, i am getting a little fed up with it! If i have to post back to Canada i will have paid out more in postage and duty than it is worth, any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you

It does sound like it needs to go back, i've had a few of these too.

Have you tried changing the settings, ie reset gyro in utility, or change from sport to 3d if this doesn't work then maybe i could have a look??

Skookum will cross ship a new unit in these situations so all is not lost.

I have tried everything, so it looks like it is going back, have you had many issues with these? I sent them all the details and have had one question back, i hope they do get one sent out asap.

I had one that came up with the 'failed to init' message. I mailed Tech Support, and got a fix back within an hour.

My gyros were returning values, though.

I have heard nothing in two days, so getting to feel that i may have made an error in choosing something that is supported from so far away! Also a little fed up now that i can not get this heli in the air.
