Skookum Sk-720: Very impressed: Everybody should get one!

I am a begginer to intermediate pilot. I just installed the SK-720 on a trex 450 SE V2 and WHOAW! This thing rocks. The heli is so much more stable, it can be set to be gentle like a lamb and is then super stable and easy to apprehend for any beginner. It helps a lot to gain confidence.

The self levelling feature is really super cool and a great thing to have when learning new figures.

I have to think that their marketing is not the best because I can't imagine why this thing is not sold with every new heli! The cost is, after all, not so huge since it replaces the gyro and the receiver and the governor.

Thumbs up to Skookum, I think this is a major advance for model helicopters. I am getting one for the trex 600!

The cost is quite huge really... It is one of the most expensive flybarless controllers out there! Also, whilst you are right that it can replace the receiver ia physical sense, in a financial sense you still have to buy 2 satellite receivers (well, one at least, but on birds 450 size and up it's really a good idea to run 2) and that costs almost as much as buying a separate receiver anyway.

You get a lot for your money though, and always get firmware updates for free. The features are fantastic and it flies brilliantly in my Protos.

I have to agree, it is freaking awesome though.
