Skookum SK-720 Setup

I recently purchase the fantastic Skookum SK720 to replace my Align 3G and wanted to consult the forum before setting up this unit on my Trex 550e FBL.

I opted for the non-external power bus, after consulting a number of forums and believing that the servos will not pull more than 10A. My Trex550e is completely stock with the 3x DS610 and 1x DS620 servos..

Has anyone used the Skookum SK720 in the same configuration or should I have opted for the external power bus?

Does anyone know if it possible to integrate the Spektrum TM1000 (Telemetry) with the Skookum SK720 or will I need to add my AR7000 Receiver with the TM1000 ?

Any tips or recommendations and pictures of placement would be much appreciated on using the Skookum SK720 on the a Trex 550e…

I have Run an SK720 on a 550 for a while. Works very well indeed. Best location is the bottom receiver mount as this has noticibly less vibration than the top mount or (even worse) the anti-rotation plate.

You can use the DX8 telemetry with the Sk720 without needing to have a separate receiver. The telemetry unit plugs into one of the ports on the SK720, you rebind and it just works. I don't have mine installed at the moment but if you do a search on helifreak skookum forum you will find more detailed information.
