sk-720 on a Blade 430-3d FBL conversation

just wondering if anybody has converted the 430 3D to FBL and used the Skookum SK720 , if so how have you mounted it on the tail or in the frame , also what level of vibration have you achieved , have you been able to use the self leveling ?

I haven't done this on this Heli, however I did successfully mount a 720 on a mini Titan with low enough vibes for the SL to work. Is that Heli the same layout as the 450x? If so I'd have thought the gyro tray at the back would be fine.

If SL is very important to you then you will want to start with 4 small squares of the sk foam in each corner of the gyro and test. If vibes too high then make sure everything is balanced, like the whole tail assembly with blades ( this is normally the biggest source of vibes )

If after everything is balanced and your getting too high vibes, then use 3M 4010 or similar to stick the SK metal plate down, then the gyro on top.

Also, very important that you have the servo leads loose, as in not tight up to the plugs. This will cause vibes.
