Hi all,

Think i'm sorted in terms of the 720's setup .... the gyro sensing and control inputs all seem ok ...

One thing that puzzled me is that when its on the bench just testing the servos etc ... as i increase throttle / collective the rudder servo is moving

Not getting any input listed on the rudder channel so its clearly the skookum doing this ... never noticed it on any other FBL controller .... is this a normal interaction???
Is it some kind of pitch pre-comp kicking in?

Ignore ... found it in the advanced setup.....
Done some bench bladeless spool up tests and it all feels fine....

Don't forget that if you are using the built in governor then it may not work properly without blades when bench testing

Not using skookum gov ... this was just during testing and setup with just servo rx pack

Done a full bladed spool up (not take off yet) and it is controlling the tail ok .... and all responses are as i would expect so maiden flight tomorrow i think

Just getting used to the specifics and peculiarities of the Skookum software vs vbar which i'm completely happy with... nevertheless setup has gone well ... nothing has concerned me and i think its good to go.

Aren't using bank switching or self-level yet .... will wait until i see the vibes from the flight ...

Any tips for new setups? Auto gains on the cyclic for self-tuning?

Set auto gains on and do some spirited flying fast flips etc. Once you are happy turn auto off. If you feel you have gone to far then turn back on again reduce in the software and start again.

Unless you are running a kontroniks guv I seriously suggest you use the skookums. Its very very good.

Will use a gov eventually but waiting to get a CastleLink adapter from castle

What you describe there is the tail pre comp as you go up and down the collective. It's normal and nothing to worry about.

Unless you are running a kontroniks guv I seriously suggest you use the skookums. Its very very good.

It's even better than the kontronik gov! I use the sk gov on 3 helis and kontronik on another 3. Really is noticeable the difference. Well worth the extra bit of work to get it going.

Thanks but i got rid of the Skookum ..... didn't get on at all well with it .... went back to vbar
