600E Pro Vbar 5.2 Pro

Just set up my first Vbar on my 600E pro and have a couple of questions.

1, Collective is set at +- 12 slider set at 80, but I had to reduce the pitch end points to get +- 12 without setting slider below 80. ok?

2, Cyclic throw is set 8 deg slider at 59. ok?

3, Is it possible to reduce the cyclic throws as I get binding of the servo arms onto the servos at full throws.

This is a full Vbar with 2x spektrum sats.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Bring it Sunday with a laptop, I'll go over it of you want.

Aim to get the sliders in the 'green', but even if you don't it doesn't make any difference; none that I have noticed anyway.

All directions ok, both stick inputs and sense.

It will bind on the bench, it acts completely different in flight.

Make sure you set your gains and agility on the front page.

Mine was binding also, tired reducing the travel in the software but it needed too much and left a reduced swash range. Upgraded to pro and used cyclic ring (adjusted to 62) which has worked perfect and hardly touched the swash movement.

Hey.

Are you using the metal servo arms and if so which hole have you fitted the steel control ball into?
The 600 instruction manuals I've seen advise to use the outer hole, but you really need to use the inner holes and move the A arm mounting position to match. A downloaded manual I found shows outer hole for Flybarred and inner holes for FBL use.

Have you got the shortest ball on the inner swash?....this increases the slider values and even better with the new kde main rotor arms...im on 100 on both for 12 deg pitch and 8 cyclic....flew it today and its much smoother round the centre of the cyclic stick and feels more locked in

I am using the outer hole on the servo arm, i tried the inner hole but found the binding was even worse.

I have the standard balls on the inner swash that came with the 600efl kit (same as the 550 i belive), they are not as short as the ones on the 600N or 700N i have.

Hey.

The arms Bladestriker has linked to will help no end, as it takes mechanical travel away from the area on the head where it's been reduced the most.
However you can get slightly better vbar slider placings using the inner holes, of course as you have seen care needs to be taken to make sure there is no binding.
From memeory with the 600EFL it's a juggling act to get a good compromise.

Quick update.
I changed the blade grip arms to the KDE ones with shorter balls on the inner Swash. Managed to set pitch +- 12 with slider at 80. Cyclic got 8 with slider at 80. Now with minimal/no binding.
Test flights were uneventful, so just some fine tuning required.
