  • How to: Setting up the Switchglo Pro with Vbar 5 onwards.

    Possibly the easiest install going

Configure your Aux2 on the transmitter. The channel assignment will obviously vary depending on your setup, mine however is Spektrum (DX7) running Satellites.

You must then configure your endpoints in the Reciever page. You are aiming for something like the screens below (Aux2).

Plug the Pushglo into the Rudder/Aux2 channel on the Vbar, and toggle your switch.

Hopefully that will clear a few things up, and is a lot easier than some of the guides I have seen on the net!

EDIT: Anyone know how to edit the title?

Is this without a governor Sacko?

The issue i used to face when i was running spektrum (on a dsx9 and flybarred heli) was how to control the switchglo from a seven channel receiver - all your channels are spoken for! I patched into the gov channel (on a y lead or from the low voltage output on an ar7100) and activated the switchglo from the lowest speed position. I could equally have used the gyro gain channel and had the rate mode setting be your switchglo on position. Looks like the v bar system allows you to work this much more neatly though.

          This was running the gov.

You could have used channel 1 (throttle) for the gov, then used your throttle curve values define your 'set headspeeds' in the software.

Good thinking! Never thought of that! It'd be a bit scary not having any throttle curve back up though. How often do governors fail though. Not yet in 5 years for me .... touching any nearby wooden object!

              You could use Bank Switching.

              So;

Normal curve - Run off the curves
              Idle 1 - Goverend
Idle 2 - Run off the curves

..or just flick back in to normal mode again.

Strange. Can you post a screen shot of your channel assignments?

Basically the throttle servo from the RX (CH3) goes into the Aux channel in the Vbar
                      Cheers
