  • Vbar NEO set ups

Hi All, is any one running a NEO on an x7 , I have replaced my mini vbar with a NEO and it feels a bit soft , I have upped the number 20-75 -105 on the main rotor but its just not snappy, I have a NEO fitted to my Goblin comp and that is just as i like it at lower numbers 20-65-100 on the main rotor settings, I have the same governed head speed of 2040 on both models what numbers are you running Thanks Jason
Goblin 700 comp 3 blade Kyle stacey head and tail, 160 scorpion esc , ultimate motor,MKS. Vbar NEO
Trex 700 DFC Dominator motor, scorpion . MKS. Vbar NEO

Lose some expo, up the agility and if the 65 is style that is low and will be sharper at something like 105. Main gain will also have an effect but will vary between helis.

        You sure about Style George.

My take on it that it gets sharper/vivid the lower the number, Unless I've got it wrong.

Of course applying more pitch pump will make the collective respond faster too as will applying some paddle sim to make it snappier around mid stick

The numbers I am quoting are from main rotor settings on the VBAR handset, Expo 20% style 75 and Agility 105 just to clear and confusion up

I have just done a review on the X7 and my settings were expo 5%>>>> Style 70>>>>Agility 100>>>>Gains left at default and it was super smooth in flight and plenty quick enough for me.

Thanks Tim, the model is quick enough once it is moving just seems initially slow to initiate the move as if the head speed is 1800 instead of the 2k its running. That,s what i mean by not snappy ,

Sharper and vivid are opposites, not the same thing so yes a low number here will make the heli feel softer.

Just for comparison I have Expo 10, Style 100, Agility 108 and Gain 86 on my Trex 700 DFC and it's nice and sharp at those settings.
