You don't really adjust the cyclic throw.. you set it to 8 degrees over the boom as per the vbar setup then just increase the agility sliders on the main page to increase the cyclic rate.

If you need to limit the travel of the servos then theres a swash ring setting on the pro software under one of the tabs if you need stop any binding.

Another way to do it is set the agility slider to 100% and set your cyclic to your liking. Ie set say 9 or 10 degrees or whatever gives you the flip and roll rate that suits you

I'm guessing if you set it up that way then you would have to leave the slider on 100% and do the setup thing if you wanted to adjust it?

No, the thinking is that the control loops are optimum at 100%, and that it's better to adjust the cyclic rate. If I'm not mistaken Andy K max's out the cyclic pitch. Not totally sure of the science behind it and I wouldn't say I could feel any difference but most of the big boys do it, the same as the optimiser values are punched in rather than run an optimising fligth. Nick Maxwell, Kyle Dahl ETC all do it, there are some values on the likes of HF for the e700 not sure about other helis.

Even Duncan does it like this.

Yes, but I think you would only need to do it once or twice before you got to the value of cyclic that worked for you

It's a common thing on lower head speed machines to up the cyclic value from the 8 degrees. It can provide more bite when you get that soggy feel to your heli.

Hi I set my trex 500 with a mini vbar I had a problem with the cyclic throw when setting up set it to 8 degrees but when out of set up mode had about 12 degrees which caused the elevator servo to bind apparently this is normal when on the bench but when in the air it wont do it there is some posts on the vsabi forum about this , well my 500 flys ok so all good.
