  • Mini Vbar

    Hi All

Got myself a Microbeast x, only to find out (should have new this before buying... unlucky!) it can't run on sats, well its recommended only upto 450 size, not any larger.

So, I'm thinking about returning it and getting a mini Vbar, which is a couple of quid more.

Welcome some advice, prev experience about the mini Vbar from the forum.

    Cheers Mark

I run a AR7200BX which is also an RX & only has provision for one sat & it works fine on my 550 DFC.
Am i right in thinking that the micro beast has to be used with a separate RX and the sat plugged into that as standard?

Why not return it and get the AR7200 which has a rx built in and then you can add sats for a larger machine? Depends if you like the Beast x or vbar. Is it going on a nitro or electric?
        Cheers,

          Mini Vbar

The vbar is awesome, I've used the mini on all sized electrics but if ur a nitro head then the full size vbar is recommended. You are correct that the beast x standalone unit is only up to 450 with a single sat ( well recommended anyway ) and the 7200 bx is the beast x with built in Rx and will work well on a 700 size machine with one sat.

It's horses for courses dude and I don't know your level but properly setup both units are ace.
My preference is vbar purely for the tail it just works

Hi m8, yeah I should've said, it recommends using a separate RX if your running a 500 size or above! Below its cool with a sat only, no addition RX required.

Yeah Dan, that's what it recommends for 500 size and above, using a separate RX.

Cheers Milly, it's going onto an electric. So I've a decision to make either to go the mini Vbar or AR7200.

Milly, is the mini Vbar easy enough to setup?

I had the mini vbar on my trex 550 and loved it. Very easy to install and with the cheap 'coolice' bluetooth module for setting heli up from your mobile is awesome and very simple.
Since this.. Ive never flew anything part from vbar

Hmm, I didn't know the beastx could be used with a satellite only? As far as I know, it HAS to be used with a receiver... The AR7200BX is the only beastx with built in receiver and satellite capability that I know of. But anyway - it's an excellent fbl system and is quite popular. I used to have an AR7200BX on my 550 and it was great and simple to set up!

No you can buy an adapter for the use of a single sat on 450 sized helis. But the 7200 is your best bet if you want to stick to Beastx
