I recently converted my Srimok to fbl using a CGY750 and am having a few problems with it. The main problem is that it rolls in mildly fast forward flight.
I haven't done the trim flight yet (not really had the opportunity to fly without wind), but I have played with increasing gains (elevator and aeleron up to 80%). It is also pretty much ok in the hover (though it will not hover hands off).
I am going to watch finless Bob vids etc on the setup, but I just wondered whether anybody knew what could cause the heli to roll in forward flight like that and if there is a setting I should concentrate on.
The other thing to say is that I managed to get the heli set up so that zero sub-trim was needed in the unit (and obviously none in the tx) for these flights. It wasn't the case to begin with, where I was lazy and needed sub trims of 100+, and it couldn't even get off the ground safely, rolling to the side on the floor.
The other issue I had was that the governor would not engage. The rev sens max was 74%, which is over what the manual says is needed, but it never kicked in even though the unit indicated it should have when the engine wasn't running, but under the same conditions.
I have now adjusted the sensor, since last trying it, so that a max figure of 96% is achieved. Do you think that will solve the problem?
Hovering the Srimok around gave me enough signals to say that I would end up liking the CGY750 and I have just taken delivery of a second unit (it's going in a 700 LE new build). It seemed really crisp and responsive even with the afformentioned problem, I just need to get the thing working properly!
Cheers,
Andrew
