  • Beast X cyclic servo throw problem

I need to ask for your assistance lads!

On my 600n I have converted to FBL I am finding im getting very little movement on the swash, all the settings are correct, all the servo frequency's are set right, I have gone through the settings three times and I cant figure out what it is..

The only thing I van think of is the swash im using is not an Align its a "Extreme 3D swash"....

Is it worth throwing the old Align swash on to see if that makes a difference?!

    Cheers
    John

How different is the swash, I would have thought regardless of swash you would still get cyclic movement. What distance have you got your balls on the servo horns, make sure you have no subtrim or trim anywhere and you are using a straight line pitch curve for setup, no dual rates set etc and make sure you are on single servo setup for the model not 120 degrees

I had a similar problem with my 600n when I put the dfc head on. I wasn't getting the magic blue light at 6 deg and the swash had very little movement. I tweaked the link lengths and redid the beast x after returning to factory settings...that fixed it - but I am not entirely sure why...

I had no sub-trim at all and started from a new model memory so had a straight pitch curve.:.hmmmm might do the beast X set up again and see where that gets me...

        really weird ththough

        cheers

What sort of movement are we talking about John, are you getting lots of servo movement with no swash movement or no servo movement. What is your ball distance?

Sounds like you just need more throw so just move out a ball on the arms of the 3 cyclic servos?

Are you getting the blue light at 6 degrees?

Does it come on before 6 degrees? If so, that would indicate too much resolution and not enough throw.

I remembered that after I changed the swash I also changed the links from the head to the swash.....

Guess who forgot to re-do the pitch....ME

I went to check my pitch in idle up and I was wondering why i was getting +7 at mid stick XD

Shes all set up and ready to role thanks for your help !
