Crashed my 700n possibly because of Beast X

Was running in my 105 on my 700n today, it was its third flight with no vibration issues. It was hovering nose left and I initiated a forward flight by pushing the nose down, the nose just kept tilting down and the heli pointed completely nose down, I corrected it and it over pitched nose up 90 degrees and went in. Luckily I hit throttle told so minimal damage really, well £200 ish!

Where do I send the Beast X back to get it tested/exchanged? Has anyone else had a problem like this??

+1 most seem to be mounting tape related

I use the 3M and it has a velcro strap. It has had about 10-15 flight with the old ALIGN 91h engine with the same setup.

Strange one! I use 2 layers of 3M on my N5c and 700N with no issues.

It is a bit of a worry as I have two identical 700n, the second has not flown with the new 105 as yet. Want to get the first (crashed one) sorted first. With what I have read tonight, I think it could have been a vibration issue? I'll phone Ade Monday and see what he says.

I had similar problems, mine just went out of control twice in a flight (should have brought it down after the first event, but just assumed it was a gust or something). Didn't think my 700 was suffering from vibes, but the general feeling was the tape. Changed to Maplins and been fince since. All my fbl units are fitted with two layers on Maplins. As said previously, it does really seem to work well.

Hi My 700 went nuts once i had to land with nearly full right cyclic to keep it level. I had been having the engine go lean ish in a prev flight and riched it up then whatever was leaning it cleared and it went very rich in flight ( HZR) The added vibration made it nearly un flyable. I had it on a foam beast x tape with the middle out loose strap, If it had been harder may be a worse ending. I also had a 600N go into a un comanded roll low lever after picking throught the carnage it was noted the clutch stack bearings had collapsed and the vibes from that sent the beast nuts.

I also upgraded my clutch stack to the Lynx upgrade part at the same time, but not sure if that helped.

Going to run it at 1850rpm tomorrow at the field minus boom and blade grips. I'll watch the swash and see if there is any interaction.

My very first beast x experience ended exactly the same as yours Arwel, maiden flight with it and the nose tipped violently forwards. Turned out to be a faulty board in the unit, a contact had come loose or something. Vibration usually results in the heli tipping to the left.
