Should fly pretty much out of the box after setup, but from memory there are some (1 or 2) items in the manual where the default settings are not good for smaller models. I can't remember which items but they are noted in the manual so you shouldn't have much trouble.

Oh yeh - Don't cut the supplied pad to fit (but it says that in the manual as well)

Ditto. Got it on the Pro and didn't touch a thing. Follow the manual and take your time (a digital pitch gauge is awesome!). No pit falls. Take off without input and quickly as it can be unstable on the ground (although I haven't experienced this, it just mentions it in the manual.

        Cheers!

Don't do what I did and go through an entire setup after doing a master reset, get it set up perfect, and THEN realise you had your EPAs set at 130% from before, instead of the 100% needed for set up!

I've decided I need a swash leveler. I tried the cable tie trick, but it got on my nerves

Haven't got the tools but thanks. Never saw the point of bubble levels. They only work if the model itself is level which is hard to do n the skids flex etc. With normal levellers it's relative to the shaft so the model doesn't have to be perfectly level on the desk. Think I'll just cough up and buy one, or find someone local who can lend me one

If you are fixing the BeastX behind the anti rotation guide, build up the platform so that the BeastX doesn't overhang. I just used balsa and double sided tape.

If you don't have a swash leveling tool then check the pitch at 90deg to tail, rotate head 180 deg and check pitch on the same blade the other side, don't move the heli. Any difference will be due to the swash not being level, you can adjust it using the the servo leveling function in BeastX setup, 'G' I think.
Same for aileron pitch with blades parallel to boom and elevator pitch at 90 deg to boom.
Do all of this on both blades.
RCLogger digital pitch gauge is a great help here but normal pitch gauge just fine as well.

Lot's of help in this Thread. Have a good read of that and the BeastX manual before you start.

The main thing is to get the servo horn and the links at 90 degrees to each other. Adjust the link from swash plate to blade grips so you get zero degrees of pitch on both blades. Get the magic blue light at 6 degrees of pitch and you are good to go
