How have you set the control, you need to go to Tx control and then up your endpoints. The supplied control modes have dual rates and expo built in.

Cheers i just thought by setting the max swash movement in the set up thats what i would get on full stick deflection and by upping the ATV the swash would bind.

Hi No the atv is seen as the roll rate demand in degrees and will not increase the max deflection.

I had this on my 700 on back flips I increased the atv untill it flipped at the rate I wanted. I the changed the beast to expert went to back flip with the 140 atv still in and changed my pants! took it back to about 90 and all was well.

Hi Glenn, it all depends on which control setting your using. Sport for example is very easy to fly, expo built in and limited cyclic throw. Extreme, the control is a bit more agile and the Tx setting allows you to set it how you want using your endpoints and expo to your liking.

The Beast makes a big difference to the humble 600 IMO. The heli it should have been.

its not untill you get to transmitter mode that the beast does not use its built in expo all other modes sport, pro, extreme, have expo and diffrent roll rates for a set 100% atv increasing the atv will alter the rate of roll or flip on all modes. Do not add a lot of expo in any mode exept transmitter mode which has no built in expo, or you get a double expo situation with strange controll feel. The roll rates are taken directly from the atv and there is no expo in the transmitter mode setting.

I must say Dave i was very very pleased with it jack flew it and he loved it i fly all my helis with no rates or expo! so i think tomorrow we will just try the differnt settings in the beast and see what we get,it just threw me a bit today as my 700 is set up with the same settings as the 600 and that just flys spot on other than tail gain its totally stock settings.

On my 700 i have it in extreme with 90/100 switchable on the rates and 10 % expo ,but i have metal fbl wheels, elec main shaft, elec side levers and a elec elev lever and arm. I love the way it flies only prob i have had was tipping on spool up due to a knacked clutch stack bearing so keep an close eye on bearings.

You shouldn't be using dual rates nor expo in one of the preset control modes of which extreme is one. You need to be in Tx mode for these to work correctly otherwise you are adding expo/rates to an already calculated response.
