If it's smooth without the blades on then that's the first clue. I'm sure you've checked their balance but recheck, then check the paddles then look for something loose around the powetrain that the rotating mass of the head accentuates.

Ultimately it's more likely that if X5's are unique in having trouble with beastx that there's a resonant frequency inherent in that model...sometimes a couple of extra frame braces can solve it..

I've been helping a mate hunt down vibe and gyro problems on his 600.. along the way we found shed-loads of classic issues from imbalanced blades, sticking tail pitch sliders, binding in the tail mechanism, gyro pad undersized and probably as a result of all that; loosening frame bracing and even unhappy tail blades...

..serisouly frustrating when multiple little causes conspire together
Yup, checked and triple checked my setup.

New upper and lower main shaft bearings
New main shaft and FES Head
    New Turnigy BLS950 Cyclics
    Align DS650 Tail Servo
    Various foam pad combinations
    Blades weighed and balanced
Tried stock Gaui tail blades and KBDD's
Gaui red FBL dampeners, a mate confirmed the black produces the same result (red = 75 hardness and black = 95 hardness) I do wish a 85 hardness existed. I have noticed KBDD do a dampener, just not sure if it will fit the Gaui FES head. Will measure and ring Fastlads.

Maniacs are weighing in at 106.1g & 106.2g each and on the balancer nice and level. I am waiting for a pair of Edge FBL 523mm blades to arrive in stock at Fastlads, will try this first as a last resort before selling the BeastX unit.

Here is a bench test video showing no vibes on the heli.

Here is the flight test, pay careful attention to skids at 0.30sec & 1.07min. Sorry for the bouncy flight, gusting wind and trees make hovering a tad difficult.

      Pedantic is good

To be honest that doesn't look like a vibe I'd blame an fbl unit for. Not sure if it's my imagination but looks about headspeed frequency? Have you tried different headspeeds to see if it goes away or follows it in speed? Heavier blades may damp it or make it worse. May also be worth a smear of threadlock where the mainshaft goes through the main bearings? How tight was their fit?

Funny you should mention the head speed thing bud! It has been suggested by other users that I up my head speed.

Stock pinion is 16t, I am running a 14t to tame the X5 down (collective is absolutely vicious), so 85% flat on 14t probably produces far less head speed than a 16t.

Will up my head speed to 95% & 100% respectively. Should the result be positive I will put the 16t back on.

        Thanks again bud!!

Reduce the gain on the middle pot (No2) and up the headspeed and I am sure that (Minor) wobble will dissapear.

TBH that is nothing in comparison with what mine was doing.

+1 mate, thats not a vibe at all, and even if i had that on my heli i would continue to fly it as long as the Beastx was behaving correctly in flight. i have recently built an atom 550e with beastx and due to the small skids it vibrated like mad at take off but flies a dream in the air and i am sure it will have more than those vibes if i hovered it and looked at the heli. but i never do. and about 30 flights now i am only getting more confident with the model.

in fact for the first ten flights the blades were off track (due to black blades was very hard to tell plus i didnt know you could adjust compass FBl Head as they were stubbornly tight to twist.)and i still didnt have a problem
