  • Dual power via 20a YEP SBEC

    Hi

I'm planning to use a 20a YEP SBEC on a Trex500L Dominator. The SBEC has 2 output leads to spread the current. My question is can I plug both these 2 leads straight into the HC3SX and which ports can I use? I am not using the internal BEC output from my ESC and am going to remove the red wire.

    Hey buddy.

As long as you plug them into servo ports and not signal only ports, yes you can plug them both in.
You'll find all the servo ports have their positive and negative pins connected together to act as a power bus.

If you are not using SBUS ie. you are using sats, then plug 1 lead in SBUS, and 1 lead in Servo 4/Bat. If you are using SBUS then use a 'Y' lead to join with ESC output and plug in there along with the other connection to Servo 4/Bat making sure ESC red lead is pulled out. Alternatively, and this is better, if using SBUS then plug ESC lead directly into Channel 3 on receiver and plug BEC leads into esc and Servo 4/Bat. ESC on BD3SX is only pass through.
