  • Demon3SX tail problem "Please Help" !!

    Hi Guys
Please can any of you with experience of the 3SX help me out with a problem ?

I maidened my new Logo690SX with a Demon3SX unit last weekend and it flew brilliantly.
However when I flew the heli today the tail would not hold in heading hold mode and was constantly drifting. I haven't changed any settings in the unit or my tx.

When I landed I put the heli on the bench and powered it up with heading hold enabled and the tail slider immediately and slowly crept over to one side. No matter what I did I couldn't stop this from happening. However as soon as I switched the gyro back to normal mode (ie non heading hold) the tail pitch slider would centre OK.

With the unit in heading hold mode, shouldn't the tail pitch slider stop in whatever position the tx stick input places it, without returning to centre ?

I usually always fly with heading hold enabled, but cant do this at the moment as the tail wont hold. I use a Futaba 10C radio and FASST receiver (not S-Bus)

I'm very new to the Demon3SX unit, so please can someone help me to sort this out

Please help me out guys as I'm almost at the point of taking the unit out and going back to BeastX but I'd really like this thing to work properly

    Thanks

Harvey ( Dogbuiscuit ) in here had the same problem on his 550.
What worked for him was, save his settings, reset the unit, load the settings and it was all good.
    Worth a go mate.

hi garry, try this mate, leave tail servo in take out gear wire, go to tail page top right put in your tail amount, now power up heli, it will be in heading hold by default, if it holds, check your tx, make sure no trim moved as this will act as a command,

        hope this helps kev

its a good job you remembered how we (you) fixed it mate, as I certainly would not have been able to help here, despite flying the 3sx for some time now and having the same issue ! ...... I have probably forgotten how to fly now aswell !

All I remember is this was a really frustrating problem Gary, but stick at sorting it. its well worth the effort when you get it fixed, as its fair to say that its a lot nicer than beastx. sorry I cant be of more help, but panos is very good with the 3sx
