  • Thoughts on helicommand for 3d

Is it me or am I looking in the wrong places for info on the demon. Most posts seem to be from beginners who rave about the bail out features but I can't seem to find much info on the 3d flying qualities of this unit.
ive been researching the bavarian demon after flying a friends model with one installed.
1st impressions were very good with a solid cyclic and tail which worked extremely well together
I became totally locked into this model and totally enjoyed the 1flight I had with it. This model was set up with slow cyclics and high expos along side a tx which i wasnt used to. It had everything going against it and yet I fell in love with the feel and qualities of this model enough so for me to decide to try one.
Now, while I think the bail out is a superb idea,it's not what I am interested in and would like to get people talking about there experiences with the flying qualities of this unit.
I have a helicommand 3x on way to me( thanks to Keith at robbe) which is the same as the new red demon, I will be installing it this week into my 700e dfc and plan to get flying it ASAP.
I'll keep an eye on things here and see if it gains any interest and report back with my findings over the next few days.

    Any experiences or advise appreciated.

Check Nico Neiwind out. He uses it.

I use but not hard 3D.

    Check HF too.

If a shop is sending you a HC its old stock so will need updating also but its all free so just plug it in and check online

As a FBL unit its very good. More precise than the Vbar. More responsive around mid stick. Very solid in FFF. Like any new FBL unit you will need to learn the set up but its easy when you know how

      Cheers Ben,
yeah definitely felt responsive around mid stick, but completely locked in aswell. Pitch is sharp too, but in a controllable way.
What's the newest update version to look out for?

You looking at the wrong places bavarianDEMON/HeliCommand - HeliFreak
I have 3 Hc3sx fited on my machines and two vbars sylverline on both of my nitro machines, but only so I can make use of the governor.
No hard 3d but I can give my machines a hard time lol. Whilst the bail out maybe not something you are interested in, it's nice to have it on board for those ( oh s$$it) moments!
I hope BD get's the governor on that unit.

Depends on how old the old stock is, there is a limit on which ones can be updated to the very latest.
Grab the latest software here Software and firmware for stabilization systems by Bavarian Demon

It should allow you to update the the latest it will allow, later helicommand units update right up to bavarian demon software.
The 3x is an often overlooked unit and it is superb, but now you have one on the way you can tell us what you think

If it's the old type then you may have to look here, I've not tried to flash an old one.
