  • HC3-SX on the 770

Put it on the Goblin 770 so I can have some serious fun with it.

It replaced a Vbar which was awesome on it and I wondered how the HC would perform but after 3 flights and some tweaking its no different. I got an aileron wobble on hard aileron stops which I found on the last flight with it but it was only when I was coming in to land and started twgging the sticks short and fast and I saw it then. Other than that which did not affect the flying its awesome.

Next flight out will be the bailout mode

Oh, the maiden destroyed the tail blades as I had the tail reversed like a twat and it spun out of control soon as it got light on the skids d'oh.

Ill be interested to see how you get on with it, Noel Cross reckons they are very good but need a bit of setting up to get them to work correctly ! How did your set up go ?

      Hi Jamin
Goto the rigid page on your HC and turn down the ail gain it defauils at 16 turn it down to 14 and try that it might help stop the wobble also what is your overall head gain regards Noel

        Re: HC3-SX on the 770

        Absolutely awesome.

No better or no worse than the vbar. Others say its better but to me I think now it feels very similar. The cyclic is a little quicker but overall I prefer this package because of the ta da switch.

Reduced the ail gain to 14 as you said Noel and its spot on.
        Need another now

I knew you going to like it Ben!
I been flying them for the last year and a half now. 3 machines all with the HC on board.
Expensive, but no more expensive that a silverline with the pro upgrade, and as you said they fly the same!
Captain rescue works every time, so more flying than building for me!

I too knew you'd love it!

I have 2 now... one for the T-Rex 550E and one for my new toy an older 600E converted to FBL DFC.

I absolutely love the HC3-SX. It flies superbly and the bailout allows me to stretch myself without the worry of crashing because of dumb-thumbs. I crashed once with it on my 450 when I was still learning and that was because I just forgot I had bailout. I felt a right plonker and everyone at the club had a great laugh. Since then I have quickly progressed on from simple circuits to flips, rolls, fast fig 8s, "stall" turns, loops etc. Now I am starting to build up to half piro flips. Awesome... and I have only been flying 8 months in total!

I wouldn't have a big heli without one. I have AR7200BX on the 450... if I crash that then it isn't too costly so that would be fine (not that I plan on crashing but it sometimes just happens without bailout!).
