Dead Gpro

I bought two 700e top models at Weston this year, just got round to building one and when it came to setup there was nothing from the Gpro. No light and not binding.

This is straight from the box! Anybody have the same issues?

Have you tried the other Gpro? If that has the same issue it might point toward a problem with the setup/procedure rather than the actual Gpro (chances of having two DOA being very slim).

I know the old 3GX used to act like it was dead until you bound it to the Tx.

I haven't checked the second one yet. When I connect it to a lipo there is no light and it dosen't send out a Bluetooth signal to bind.

According to the Align video you have to connect with USB to your PC to do the bind:

As grumpster said, probably isn't dead, just looks it before it's setup/bound. If it's anything like then3gx, I thought mine was dead when I got it!

I have 5 heli's with Gpro & still can't always bind first time around, you won't have a led until you've done the bind so as mentioned always best to use the usb first then once you've done the bind you can use the Bluetooth.

edit...! just thought are you using receiver or sats

Ive set a 500 dominator up for a bloke and the tail was proper scewed up. Had a mind of its own on the Gpro. Alarmingly Align refused to acknowledge there was an issue with it. Hes now on V-bar

Ok, better to pc link to bind but when you do bind you may have to hold tx couple mtrs away from heli.

Hi guys, i have tried everything. Tried binding with PC and I phone but nothing at all. No lights flashing��. I'm considering my options now. Should I just get it replaced or go Spartan or V Bar on both?

How are you trying to bind.? 1 or 2 sats connected & are you just powering Gpro from lipo.

When you connect the Gpro to the PC with the USB cable and then power it up does the software change and show connected?
if so we know the Gpro is not dead and power source is correct.

are you using dsm2 or dsmx sats?

Did you try connecting your other Gpro to the PC software. When you run the program it will say 'Searching'. Then when you power up the Gpro it should say connected. You need to do this to set the receiver type initially. If one Gpro connects to the software and the other doesn't then you've got a dead Gpro. If neither connect then it could be USB cable or incorrect power supply to the Gpro's.
