Gpro gyro settings, advice needed

just set up my first dfc,trex 500e dfc Gpro and I need to finalise a couple of details before flying
all set up as per Jeffs video and parameters set to beginners settings, till i get the hang of it.
flying on dx8, so I need to know,do I activate the gyro function in tx menu or leave inhibited,I think I have to but not sure and do I use the dual rates and expo or are they left inhibited also, and just use parameter menu.

On my TR500L I set everything up first on the laptop including parameters. I then set gyro, D/R and expo on the transmitter. I use Futaba so it might be different to yours. I set gyro mode to GY and then set AVC at 50% with switch B down and NOR at 50% with switch B up. When the transmitter is on heading hold the led on the GPRO is green. When in rate mode the led goes red. I set D/R at 70% for channels 1 and 2 and 80% for channel 4. I set -5% expo on channels 1, 2 and 4. After flying it, I took all the D/R and expo off. The GPRO parameters were in beginner mode.

Does your DX8 use spm files,if so I can send you my 500 spm file it has gyro gain setup & switch assignment for D/R & expo
