g pro beat me

well I've set up loads of flybarrless systems,but this one has beat me tried everyday now,i get through setting up then when I exit and reboot heli swash is tilted back or I loose throttle or tail goes right and stays their.im giving it one more go tomorrow,this is on my new 500 dominator.

Well it is totally able to be set up and flown fine, so either yours is broken or it's user error I'm afraid..

The best advise i can give is do the bind then disconnect heli & close app then open app then turn on tx & heli, go to edit setup & through the swash setup just to get the collective & servo directions, then disconnect & reconnect heli & check swash tilt direction is correct & collective then cyclic if alls right then go back into app edit setup & do your servo centering through to tail setup, before tail setup check you have tail correct then back into app edit setup to do tail end points.
Once you know all is right, in parameters set for Beginners as test flight.

You could also pm Ian (coolice) as he is more up on it than me.
Although ive done 4 of my models & again to my new TX i still struggled a bit but once you've done it its not a bad bid of kit once you get to know parameters.

As above, the Gpro is surprisingly easy to setup, follows very closely the Vbar way of doing things. So in theory as long as you go through step by step, you should be good to go.
However, I have one idea based on what you have mentioned. What BEC are you using? I know the Gpro is very power hungry and even though you are not flying, once you have run through the settings and exited them to flight mode, all the gyro's are active and demanding current.
It's just an idea, but I have seen it where in setup mode all is well, then outside of it due to there not being enough power available, the flight gear goes all mental.

What ESC does the new 500L come with?

It could even be a duff Gpro, which is not impossible as they are made in the 1000's.

Hi Mark depending on the version of 3GX cyclic can be as much as 16 degrees so once you've gone through the setup, in sub trim or parameters you will need to drop the cyclic around 9 degrees which i found gave a nice cyclic feel & then set parameter roll rates to suit.
