Gpro Not So Popular.

Not read of any newcomers to the Gpro nor Gpro veterans, got no complaints myself & cant fault it, but it doesn't seem like its ever going to become popular, is it...?

Why? When you can buy a spartan vortex vx1n for the same kind of money or a vx1e for less? Even a mini VBar is same kind of money.

Better hardware and software aswell as active support

I'm afraid I wasted to much time on 3G and 3gx, to buy another align system good or not. Run mostly Vbar, but do have a couple of Spartans.

For a company like Align to copy the V bar and for it not to be as good is a bit pointless. They've obviously changed bits of it but in essence a V bar (Fu-Bar, K Bar).

Even forcing it on those that buy combos only results in a lot of those selling them unused. Align should stick to what they do best churning good models out (maybe not as many variants) and leave the flybarless units to those that can develop. That way it's win win for them, releasing electronics that are questionable just lead to dis-satisfaction. By the way I fly Align and use Align servos

Give it time, Align sell plenty of combos and the Gpro will build up a userbase just through that. It's too expensive for people to be buying them otherwise though, not when there are so many proven alternatives out there. The Gpro is still unproven in the market, and comes from a company with a pretty bad reputation for FBL systems. I think personally it'll turn out to be a decent unit, and will certainly fly well enough for most people but it's going to take time before it's accepted.

I also think that Align know that. They know they could price it cheaper to sell more, but even then it's likely that many people still wouldn't buy them, and if it's cheap it would re-enforce people's opinion of align FBL controllers. By keeping the price high they're not really losing anything (they still sell the majority through combos), and that high price creates the impression of a higher quality unit and gives them chance to rebuild their reputation.

And their slogan "conquer your heart",,,,,,eh!,,,,what the heli does that mean!!
Pretty poor for the "Ford" of the heli market.

Used to run 3GXs on all my models, but replaced them with Vbars after I switched to version 4 then heard all the sponsored pilots were already flying on version 4.1. Just couldn't be bothered with all the constant upgrades. Never looked back and won't easily be persuaded to try the Gpro.

I took the time to try it and it is ok , I don't think its perfect yet , but nothing is perfect !
I tried V bar , Vortex and G pro all on the same heli , Align 700 Dominator .
For me as an older ex flybared pilot I prefer the Vortex , now it has a gov for electrics.

Align have a couple of things to change to make the G pro as good as V bar , but have been dealing with the multicopter range and its introduction, so now we can expect to see further development on the G Pro.
It is by no means a bad system , its right up there with the rest , just a couple of tweaks required , like an Electric gov,....
It's massively better than the first 3 versions of the 3GX !

I feel that you need to be fairly high up the competing pilots list before you would notice any shortfalls in the G Pro...............It's ridiculously easy to set up and pair it with a bluetooth module and its tunable from any smut phone .
the other bonus it it can be picked up at a bargain price !

Certainly it shouldn't be ruled out .
Just my opinion !

Don't get me wrong,I love em,,Ive only ever had align or blade,,,,but conquer your heart is just garbage,,,,,as is their manuals,,,,,at least "just do it" makes some kind of sense,,,,in fact the write up for align helis on the sites that sell them is a joke too,,,,buy one for your happiness buy one now,,,,almost as bad as their manuals.
Hasn't stopped me ordering a 500l dominator though,,which should arrive soon!!

IMO, "Conquer your heart" is better but it is certainly not something i pay any attention to really. Its all down to subjective interpretation
