  • Align Gpro, why so cheap?

    The Align Gpro has not been out long and I'm wondering why the price of these units has dropped significantly, you can pick a brand new one up for around £50-£60 on various sites like BMFA and I've seen a few cheap ones on here. I've heard and seen quite a few good reviews so why are these units not holding their price?

    I tried 3G and 3gx, and would not waste my time with another align system, don't matter how good the press is. People buy the kits which are good and off load the 3gx or gpro to put there prefered system of choice on.

      The Align Gpro is a superb bit of kit...way better than the 3GX. It is still early days so people off loading them at roughly the same price they were selling the 3GX units. Once it gets established and people realise how good a piece of kit it really is, I think you will see prices rise as the demand rises

        It might possibly also have something to do with the fact that you can buy a V Bar Chinese clone for £20 or £30. This may tend to bring prices down generally.

          Most are from combo kits then sold as 2nds, as above superb bit of kit.
          Today's outlook is fine for flying.
          • Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.
          • Blade Nano, mCP X, 130x, Blade 180, Mini T 450se
          • Trex 250dfc Gpro, Trex 500EFL Gpro.

            I'd wager it's lack of trust.

            The 3g left a bad taste in peoples mouths. The 3GX had many quirks but was a flyable unit for most people, especially on the later firmwares.
            The better pilots at my club that did have 3GXs have moved over to beast X, Spartan or Brain. Plenty that are still hovering fly the 3GX as they got them free or for next to nothing from those that moved on.

            A couple (like me) fly Vbar, but they've always had Vbar.
