3gx setup with dx7

Hello,

I'm trying to setup the 3gx on my 700n but having some issues around the gyro and governor gains. I am using satellites so CH5 maps to CH7 however I can't get it just how I want. I'd like to have a normal and idle up head speed ideally linked to flt mode switch but I realise this may not be possible. I'd also like to be able to switch between rate and heading hold like I do on other helis using gear switch.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Dave.

When using satellites connected directly to the 3GX, the gyro gain defaults to AUX2 (channel 7) and the govenor is controlled via GEAR (channel 5).
Within the settings menu on the DX7, in the gyro and govenor page, from memory you can assign what channel controls what feature. In this case you want the Govenor menu to be linked/controlled by the GEAR (channel 5) and the tail gyro menu linked/controlled by AUX2 (channel 7).

With this set, on the same menu screens there is a way to link the various percentages to flight mode and this is how you can set a different head speed to each flight mode. Along the bottom edge of the screen (to the right I believe) it tells you what switch is used to control the function, if you scroll along to this and click your enter button you can scroll through the various switches which can be used and there is one called F Mode, which links the switched positions to a particualr fligth mode.
When the function is link to flight mode the toggle switch normally used to control the gain/govenor position becomes inactive.

Thanks, think I've got it sorted now. Just got to test it as I'm not sure how the percentages relate to headspeed.
