Align FL760 V3 updating with 3GX dongle!

Hi Guys,
Today I tried to update a mates 3G using my 3GX dongle and lead with says FL760 on it! Because of the lead mismatch I simply unplugged the gyro sensor lead from the small box
(I assume the sensor?!) and plugged the lead into the 3GX dongle. I fired up the 3G v3 updator and away it went. Afterwards it occurred to me that because the sensor was disconnected the firmware
has only updated the control unit. So my question is this once we have re-done the DIR setup will it be okay to fly or should I get the correct lead and re-do the update?

Also is the v3 firmware an improvement on the 2.1?

Hey.

I'd suggest getting the correct lead, reason being the update program from memory called for the sensor to be connected to the dongle and then the main unit. So if you haven't done this then I would suggest not flying the model.

It only take a few minutes to go through the update and DIR mode again, but it will be seconds to destroy the model should this cause a problem.
