Align 3G system. Question i need help with???

i have got the usb lead and that what plugs into the 3G system, but i was wondering how to get the latest update, Version 3. do i need to download? dont know much about it.................

I had to save the file but found it was compressed so had to a program to uncompress it.

Simple! just download the v3 file if you don't have the software to open it your browser will suggest one for you, once you've done that" there be two files to open one is the 3G parameter window & the other is the 3G updater, you first open up the updater & plug into 3G gyro only & update firmware then connect to 3G controller only & update firmware.
Although it doesn't alter any of your setup but it is strongly recommended to pre check your setup before flight, it also suggests you default the two pods but this is not necessary.
v3 is so advanced you wont believe the difference it make to the heli.

I know the difference it makes. Hovering my TRex500 for 20 seconds after update and reset and it put in full back elevator, untouched, and smacked into the ground tail first..
I had put a new cable between gyro and controller and checked pins, and socket all OK before assembly. Re-checked plugs in firmly before flight, no twitches.
Plugs in solid after crash, no pins pushed back and sockets OK.
Blooming expensive update.
I am going to leave my 550 on V2.1

Take care with taking the cables out and watch sockets don't move or pins don't push back.
Watch you don't damage the 2 small pips on the plugs as these lock the cable into the socket. Change the cable if damaged.
Use hot glue to fix plugs in.
