Can these be bought on their own without electronics?

It seems you can buy all the bits you need as spares but not as a complete unit?

Yea they might do, seems to be around £75-£80 for all the parts if bought as spares. Might see if anyone will do it cheaper as a complete unit. Not sure why they dont do a flybar to flybarless conversion kit like Mikado do.

I like the 3g head but fancy having a go with a different fbl unit

It's actually £86 from FL for 600 flybarless head (in parts) with pitch setter (instead of button). I ordered one yesterday!
That's the head block (£20) , grips (£35) , mixing arms and collar (£20), links and rods(£5) pitch setter!? (£6).

You still need thrust washers, feathering shaft, and head button, and main shaft.

Its for a Trex 500, wanted to convert the standard trex 500 flybarred head but not sure which parts of the 3g fbl head I would have to buy and which could be re-used from the flybarred head.

RC Heli Magazine :: Learn How To :: TREX 500 Flybarless Conversion here you go cheap as chips alternatively you'd need the blade grips,washout arms and links to convert the flybared head (i'm pretty sure you can use the original head it just has a few unused holes in it)

you could use that head conversion with 3g, there all the same really, just look different, the above that glen has pointed out is exactly how i did my 250 and 450
