3g Software problem

for the life of me i cant get the bloody 3g software to work on my windows
vista laptop (basicly when i hit the link button it gives me an error message about cant find the correct port or something) however its works on my old laptop with xp pro on and my work computer with xp so is it just not vista compatable or is there a solution to this

Did it load the drivers OK?

all drivers loaded fine program loaded fine just say this every time

unable to find an entry port named FT_getcomportnumberin dllftd2xx.dll
if this makes sence to any programmer on here

Align say it is Vista compatible.

That message is a driver error: I would do a rollback and reload it making sure that when it runs for the first time it automatically installs the additional dongle driver.

Alternatively, load it from Device Manager.

Apologies if I'm telling you stuff you already know, hope it helps.

i fixed it and a word to anybody else who has a problem with this
basicly i have to run the driver execuitable in windows xp mode this fixd the problem the file is cdm20600.exe
oh well at least its working

Are you logged in with Administrator rights or can you right click on the program shortcut and run as administrator.

tried that and yes im an administrator
the only way was to run the device driver (the dos window driver that appears ) in xp mode and it works fine now !!

What browser are you using? I tried with Opera, & got garbage, but it was fine with IE.
