  • Align 3g round 2

Just fitted my second Align 3g system to my 600LE tonight, sold the first one as it didnt go too well on my 700.

I put this down to vibes in the airframe i think, wrong blade choice and slower than spec cyclic servos.

The 600LE runs nice and smooth, has the Align 610`s fitted and the 600d blades which although maybe not the best should work well seeing as its all Align kit.

Really looking forward to flying it tomorrow, having flown Aidi`s 700 3g i was impressed with how the system can work when everything is tickedy boo.

I have since seen Aidi flying his with the Edge blades and he says its even better,it looked well behaved from what i saw.

    Roll on tomorrow.

I reall do hope you are not going to put Align 690's on you 600LE Chris!! Sure would be a sight to behold!!

I think with the Align servo's and a bit of fiddling with the gain you will get it dialled in. Have read a number of reports that strapping the gyro unit down tight has given marked improvement, so might want to consider that approach.

Hope you get on with the 600 version, will look forward to seeing on Sunday!

Whoops edited that Aidi, try Align 600d`s..

Have not strapped the sensor yet,bit awkward i think on the 600 as it would have to go front to back and the cable is in the way.

I have on the 700, but not tested yet. Its easy on the 700 with the strap going under the gyro mount. As you say, not so easy on the 600. Ill let you know how it goes when strapped down.

i was looking at the very same thing last night...not easy to strap down on a 600 tail gyro position
            Trex700e, V bar v5 pro,
            Trex450v2
            Trex 600esp....scorpion motor and 8s setup...hold tight....

The only way i can think which would be a simple approach would be to cut two slots into the plastic either side of the gyro, and thread a small velcro strap that way.

This is what i was thinking Aidi,i will see how it runs today and take it from there.

If yours was not strapped down last weekend then i see no need to unless you actually want to.

                    Cheers.

If it flys anything like Aidi`s 700 then i will be very happy indeed.

Ill give it ago and see what happens. Only takes a second or two to alter. As you said, it flies nice as is!

Hope your 600 has the same results mate.

Ok i have put 2 flights on it so far and its a world away from what my 700 was.

Running the stock Align 600LE and the pots at 12 o clock there was a slight bounce on elevator but it actually had a worse bounce when the flybar head was on there.

On the second flight i had dialled the gains down to 11 o clock and the bounce is all but gone, the tail is solid and holds well(9254).

Overall feel is very good indeed and although i can probably fine tune a few things to my ideal liking its working very well indeed.

I feel much happier with it than i ever did with the flybar head on,it just never felt solid enough compared to all my other model that are running V Bar.

The V bar i think has a unique feel to it,Align models feel like the Logos when they run it and its a feel i like.

But running the 3g on my 600LE brought a smile to my face,,well done Align i can fully appreciate the potential of your system now and i will be keeping it 110%.
