  • Anyone done/seen a 600e FBL yet.

Just embarking on the build/setup of a 600esp with 3gFBL system.

    Looking for positioning ideas...etc.

anyone got any photo's etc of any installs.

Its gonna be an 8s with kontronik jive 80hv esc 8s packs and scorpion motor. coupled with the FBL it should give plenty of pop and better flight times i hope.

Anyone have a ideas/advice whilst im building it please feel free to chime in.

    thanks. wayne,

My mate's going to be fitting the 3g to his esp this week and thats on 8s, so would be able to get some pics by the weekend. I 've got a brand new scorpion motor for sale if your looking for one its the 4025-740kv.

I stuck the sensor on the lower gyro tray and the control module on the side between the frame end and the main gear. This does allow easy gain adustment without the need to remove the canopy although not easy to put a tie rap on.

      Hope this helps

I made my 600e fbl a few years ago and it has gone through many incarnations. Initially it was csm 2x720s and cyclock controlled on the std 6s 5000mah but with a neu,and after that broke,a plettenberg orbit. Then I changed to 12s 3000mah with the scorpion 4035 560 which was ballistic and then changed to the Skookum to control it. I also made it direct ccpm i.e. no bellcranks but I don't think that would be easy on an esp. Flight times do go up but don't expect miracles. On a 12s setup you could get 5.5 to 6 mins of 3d bashing. Blades make a massive difference on fbl, best I found for that locked in feel but with good agility are the rotortechs, but I haven't got around to trying fbl specific blades like the edge or the new torsions.
Wthout wishing to start a massive scrap from what I have seen of the align 3g system I'm not impressed. don't get me wrong I have not flown it just watched others using it. Its saving grace is that its more accessable to people less prepared to experiment, and make their own swash drivers and blade grip extenders. The head looks very proffessional but I'm not so sure about the performance of the electronics. Perhaps future firmware releases might make it more...... whats the word,dunno........3D? Or maybe you need the not included pc lead and some software to optimize it. There I've said it and now I'm getting my flame proof suit on. Yes I have seen the Szabo videos but he could make a brick with blades look good. If you compare his fbl flying with his flybarred flying I think you can see something in the 3g is a bit lacking. I am completely prepared to be proven wrong and end up buying one myself but I haven't rushed out. I will probably try a total g out though.
