  • Expo and FBL 3G

Do you still need expo when using a FBL 3G system ??. I normally have 25% on the aileron and elevator on all my helis, but not sure about the 700 now it has the FBL head on it ??.

    Cheers,

    Simon

    Hey Simon.

Yeah run what expo and dual rates you feel comfortable with mate, if anything they will be of more use on the flybarless setup due to the more aggressive nature of the head.
I know I was running 30% in full rate and about 16% allied to 65% dual rate in normal mode.

Thanks for that. Couldn't really find any info in the instructions and was a bit concerned it might affect the mixing of the unit.

Really looking forward to flying this, its looks really smart without the flybar.
      Cheers,
      Simon

        Hey.

Your welcome. I've been used to making full use of my dual rates and exponential features for years now and so when I went flybarless I was keen to keep using them to keep things tame when I want them to be. I also find that arounf the 30% mark on full rates allows for fine control inputs around centre but still keeping the nervous edge to the cyclics for the aggressive stuff.

Oh yes, the sleeker head on the 700 looks awesome and fast even when not flying! It's much cleaner and simpler to.
So far I've only had 3 flights with mine, no doubt you might read what problem I had, but in that time I was really enjoying myself and cant wait to be back in the saddle with it again
