  • 3G FBL Spare Required!

Can anyone help me out until I receive a replacement spare part (which might be a couple of weeks)???

The long sensor to control unit cable on my 3GFBL system is defective - one of the connector pins will not stay in place and is pushing back when the cable is inserted. I have temporarily used the short cable for now to setup but I need the longer cable so that everything can go into its proper location on my 700.

Does anyone have a long cable that they aren't using on their install that they would be willing to loan me until my spare arrives - then I will return you the new spare part?

Also, I could swap my short lead for your long lead if you do not require it - then you'll have a spare

    Any help, much appreciated folks.

    Dan.

      Hi

Where did you buy it from? You should be able to exchange it for a new one or get a refund if you've had it for less than seven days.....

PM your address and I'll send you one.

Hi Dan not much use but i had the same problem with the short lead in my kit could well be a bit of an issue i Bent the pin straight and refitted it and it seams fine but don't want to let my other lead go just in case, try bending the pin up slightly and refitting it.

bish: I'll try that, in the meantime Gareth has kindly offered me his spare.
          Many thanks Gareth.

bish - what you suggested was the same problem i found. Pulled out pin fully to find it was bent over, after straightening it, it pushed fully home and locked into place. Thanks.
