Flew Marks Today.....wow

Well thought i would start a new thread about the flybarless system and my experience so far.
Mark Lane popped over today with a standard 700 le and a box for the flybarless system.
So myself and Mark fitted the new system, was very carefull to make sure all the mechanicals were spot on and the swash level and the servo horns on perfect.
Well anyway, after we had done all the set ups i recon it took a total of about 3 hours.
So off down to the field to give it a go.
Popped straight up in to a stable hover and Mark flew it down for a bit why i was spanner man and adjusted the gains to get them spot on, have a tiny bit of elevator creep, but bar that is perfect.
Anyway, then Mark allowed me to have a play, and gave it a good thrashing, oh my god what a system, so much power, punch was unreal, big manovers were so so easy, fast low 3d was effortless as there was so much responce and power.
We didn't have a vid camera with us but will do a couple of vids tomorrow.
Very impressed with the system and one will be making its way on to mine also as soon as i have the funds. Well done align

What can i say...... Insane!!

I'm really impressed with this system so far, the power it delivers and the fact that it works so well out of the box is unbeleivable! As James said, a lot of time was invested getting the mechanics 100% and i'm convinced this is key to early success with the system. pitch was set at 13 degrees and this proved more than enough.... its an animal!!

A big thank you to James for helping with getting this just right and we had a great afternoons play without one single hickup, a very clever bit of kit

A key point to note is there was no issue with any tipping/drift on spool up or in autorotations where it hung for ever.... spot on and no brown trouser moments.

Some adjustments were needed to gains on both the AIL and ELV but this was easily done and the heli was soon dialed in. The power is unreal, i cant wait to fly it more tomorrow!!

13 degs was way enough mate, saw how i did that last climb up to a massive tail sliding auto i was flipping it constantly all the way up with no drop in head speed in the slightest.
I would have to say, the best helicopter i have flow, EVER

In a word...... No! LOL

Having great fun with my 700 and its brought my flying on no end.

The SG is a keeper and will be brought back out in the spring. I will only sell if i end up picking up the 700 every time i fly this summer!?

Maybe they will bring out a FBL head for the SG and then we are really talking mate!!!!!!!
