Andy Hornyak was flying with V Bar,there could be a difference in performance until the Align system is proven more widely to normal fliers

Performance as far as power goes will be similar as there is no flybar though of course.

The market will be flooded with these in a month or two so not long to find out.

Bert Kammerer said he, Alan Szabo and Lucas Rivas dont actually like the feel of flybarless. Is this something Align have produced to satisfy the latest trend and fill a gap in their range or does it actually work and improve anything? Be interesting to see what happens but it definately looks cool.

i think the burning issue here will be reliability at that price as you usually get what you pay for.
although aligns electronics dont seem to be getting as much if any bad press at the mo

I agree,i think Align electronics are adequate but not the best take their ESC`s they do the job but they are not any Kontronic immitation.

I personally think their fbl system will be Ok and fit for purpose but lacking the finesse and flexibility of other more expensive systems.

If this is reflective in the price then thats fine.If they sound half decent in reports for the price i would certainly try one.

Thing is Pete everyone has their own opinion.

Much as I admire Alan Szabo and Lukas Riva they are both top class pilots who could fly a kitchen sink if it had blades on it.

Our own Chris Barrow seems to love flybarless, I admire his flying and listen to his opinion but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

              Would I like it.??

How much would it improve your own flying style or would it be worth the extra bucks for the difference you will see.

Only way is to purchase a kit and try it.

I have stood next to Andy Hornyak on many occasions when he is flying and he is total smackdown with flybarless or without it.

Totally amazing pilot, He got his full flybarless kit stolen "yes T-Rex 700 and radio" at Alpine Heli Smackdown in Switzerland and "HAS NOT" replaced it as yet.

              Does that tell a story.??

I think he will be trying the Align variant as soon as they arrive.

For the 600 $377 = £230 but once it goes on sale here bet it'll be more than that" although it is must have.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

As said... there will be loads of takers for this on release.

Will be interesting to see views on performance as it unfolds. I would be surprised if its poor as Align would suffer a lot of flack the world over.

Another interesting thought is how long before we se this bundled in kits as an option..... not long i bet
