3Gx gov settings

I have just converted my 600 le to 3gx fbl. Before I had the gov set to come in on stunt 1 and 2 and changed the % just on the tx to get the head speed i wanted. Now i have changed to 3gx I have kept the same % as before but when i plug in the 3gx to the computer its giving about 400rpm less indicated head speed, I have kept the same settings and off of the same same stunt switch (JR dsx11) Is there a way to set the speed from within the 3gx unit or do i just continue to up the % on my tx ?

Just on the TX mate. Have you set the throttle position properly on the 3GX?

3gx set up with straight line throttle. Gov set up with throttle at low then pushed to full . I did have percentages already set on my gov settings in the tx might this be the issue ? The gov is switching in when i flip st1 both by indicating led gov change also checked in the air briefly but head speed fell as gov only set at 1550 rpm !! I am just trying to get it back to the 1850 / 1900 i had before I have around 83% set in tx as this the indicated % from trex manual.

Shouldn't be anything to do with the previous TX settings as the TX doesn't know what Gov it's talking to. Check endpoints are 100/100. Try re-setting the throttle position in the 3GX. What sensor is it? From a RCE-G600? I don't know what my headspeeds are, but I run Idle1 at 80% and 2 @ 90%. Both have very noticable increases in RPM in a hover.

Yes to the sensor that's still in the same position from before. I have rechecked the throttle setting last night but not flown again since.and i do think the 3gx and sensor are working ok as it indicates 1550 head speed and there was a marked drop when i tried it last I will up the % in the tx and see if the 3gx indicates an increase when connected to the pc

I have partly found the problem i think while on the settings page when connected to pc if i put the gear ratio at 8.5 it then shows a head speed of 1900 rpm when the gov is switched on and the tx is set to 86% But it does not seem to save this it reverts back to ratio of 1 on the pc?

3gx needs to know your tx default setting before imputing tx settings as the 3gx has its own built in memory.

Should that be 0% settings for the gov in my tx before i start ? as well as 0 25 50 75 100 curve

yep 0% settings in norm mode throttle linear, remember once you've gone through dir mode you then do the 3 gx throttle calibration

Ian's sure in the know with the 3gx, we were talking several weeks ago now about changing to a life battery on my nitro's, just got the batteries delivered from hobbyking but unfortunately wont be flying for a few more weeks due to having outing the builders & having to finishing the work myself.

I was lucky enough to be given a Reactor x so stayed using lipo's but with a better regulator otherwise i would have gone down that route the same as i have in one of my planks.
