Na, i think it has to be your setup & would suggest default tx & inh any pitch trim levers, then setup tx per Align manual then on your heli there are slots on the aile arms that align with frame slots you need a tool to fit snug to go all the way through to align both arms to mid stick then adjust elev & level swash.Today's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

Hi I have a 700e and have had the same thing not found a cure, servo wheels dead 90 and swash tool on at mid stick perfect, however at full stick a little out and same at low stick, have not got on that well with 3gx v2.1 on big loops tend to get the tail dropping back as it comes out, tried a lot of settings some worse and some better, given up now and changed to the skookum 540, will post and let you now if any differance, one thing is swash level top middle and bottom.

There was on some heli's with 2.1 where there was tailward drift this is now fixed with v3 not to mention big improvements in other areas of the v3.Today's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

As long as your swash is level at mid stick and you have 8 degrees cyclic and +/-12 or so collective nothing else matters.
Thats the whole point of a flybarless system. Set it up as per instructions, ignore everything else and fly it.NONE OF THE BELOW HELI'S ARE OWNED BY ME ANY MORE

The other thing that comes to mind thinking its more a mechanical setup than a 3gx issue is one of our club members has 700 with 3gx v3 which im sure Ian (coolice) has been involved with & ive seen it flying proves what this 3gx bit of kit can really do, so i wouldn't give up just yet & im sure Ian would say the same so be worth chatting with him.Last edited by tourerjim; 29-12-2012, 09:33 AM.Today's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

Problem with 700 is the angle of the side servo link rods took me a long time to get it setup but once it was there there was no interaction at any point of the swash & the only way i could do this is to start with a tool that will fit snug through side servo lever arms through frame to align other side servo arm this then locks swash then with each pair of links adjusted the same you then align servo wheel to 90* then bring elev end of swash level & i devised a way to lock swash level so i could do the elev servo wheel 90*, I learnt this when i was flybarred on my 700 & could not get rid of tailward drift & done same again when converted to 3gx, once all this is done whilst still in dir mode you then set upper link mid stick zero pitch then set collectives then 8* cyclic on aile & elev & move on to next stage of setup then once out of dir mod (fight mode) you need to reduce the cyclic limits to around 9/10 degees depending on your style of flight which is done through pc or can be done on 3gx itself but don't forget to do gov setup leccy or nitro 3gx needs to know your stick limitsOriginally posted by Delarado View PostAs long as your swash is level at mid stick and you have 8 degrees cyclic and +/-12 or so collective nothing else matters.

Just a quick update.
Thanks for all your feedback, I've fixed the problem now
. Been fiddling around for a few days and at the end I had to adjusted the endpoints of the elevator to 91/91 and now it seems perfect! It's now level swash low, mid and high. If I had used 100/100 the elev travel it is just too much travel at the top and bottom. I've checks many times and every link lengths are set as per manual and sub-trimmed to 90deg.
Anyways i'm happy with my setup now. A couple of days ago I flew it and I'm loving it! It was really windy but it was really stable.... here's a video....
